Bio

Performer 

Tyler received his BM from the University of Wyoming in 2015 primarily as a student of Dr. Jason Johnston. He also studied for a brief period with Dr. Stephen Gross at the University of California at Santa Barbara and is currently studying with Dr. Andrew Pelletier at Bowling Gren State University in Ohio. Tyler has also studied with other teachers including Denice Tryon, Jesse McCormick, Katherine Smith, and Joe Falvey. Tyler was the principal horn player for the Powder River Symphony and has subbed with the Wyoming Symphony and the Longmont Symphony. He also has played with the indie / folk band, Elephant Revival, at their Red Rocks concert. For the past 6 years, Tyler has been the horn player for the Grand Avenue Brass. During his time with the group he has helped orginize and performed in 2 tours around the state of Wyoming and South Dakota. The Grand Avenue Brass has participated in the Boston Brass Summer Intensive for the past 3 years, working closely with and being mentored by the Boston Brass. Composer 

As a composer, Tyler has written for many ensembles including Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Groups, and Soloists. Tyler has studied with many compsers including Libby Larsen, Jake Hegge, Jim Stephenson, Gerard Schwartz, and Dr. Anne Guzzo. For comissioning Click Here. Conductor
